The Marriage Ring is found on a treasure map given to Stella after completing the Severe Thunderstorm as part of the quest, Elena's Dharma.
At the end of the quest, Stella has to give up either this or the Rare Coin Collection to continue. Elena informs Stella that this was a ring from a past marriage of Stella's.
